Instagram Integration
Import posts from a public Instagram profile into a mix. What Instagram gives us today, and what is still to come.
Watch one public Instagram profile and turn its posts into cards in a mix.
What it does for you
Your visual channel, in the feed. Employer branding, campaign visuals and event photography reach people who do not follow you on Instagram.
One mix for the visual story. Instagram plus YouTube in a single "Behind the scenes" mix works well.
Settings
Instagram URL. The profile page: https://instagram.com/yourprofile. Not a single post, not a hashtag page.
Mix, name, backfill and auto-publish work as described in How integrations work.
Instagram content is visual, so it pays to look at the mix after the first cards arrive and check that the crop and the teaser style show the images well.
What comes across, and what does not
Standard image posts come across.
Reels and carousels do not, yet. They are in development. Until they ship, a profile that mainly posts Reels or multi-image carousels will produce a thin or empty feed. If that describes your account, wait rather than connect it and wonder why nothing arrives.
Stories are not imported. They disappear after 24 hours by design and do not fit a persistent feed.
Limitations
Public profiles only. Private accounts cannot be imported.
Captions do the talking. Instagram captions are written for Instagram, hashtags and all. They arrive as written. Editing happens per card.
The usual shared limits apply. Roughly 30 minutes between checks, silent errors, one-time backfill. See the overview page.
Summary
Public profile, standard image posts, straight into a mix. Reels and carousels are coming. Check what your account actually posts before you connect it.
