🧤 In-App Notifications
Deliver timely updates directly inside your app that everyone does see.
In-app notifications are a simple and effective way to keep users informed right where they already are—inside your app. They appear as small, contextual messages at the top of the screen and help highlight important updates, new content, reminders, or calls to action without interrupting the user experience.
You can use them to notify users or also to link to important content, surveys, other channels or anything that you feel everyone should be aware of.
Why they matter
In-app notifications bridge the gap between passive browsing and active engagement. They help you guide users, draw attention to relevant content, and communicate updates at exactly the right moment. Unlike push notifications, they don’t require system-level permissions and work for all users by default.
How in-app notifications work in tchop
In-app notifications provide some unique benefits:
Flexible placement: Notifications slide in unobtrusively, remaining visible long enough to be noticed but without being too annoying.
Flexible visuals: You can add any image to make the notification looks attractive.
Targeted delivery: You can send notifications to all users or specific user groups (e.g., by channel, role).
Versatile content: Use them to promote new posts, trigger actions, share quick info, or highlight relevant mixes.
Cross-platform consistency: They behave the same in both the mobile app and the web app, ensuring a unified experience. Each user must see the notification only once.

In-app notifications consist of the following fields that you can easily manage and start from your admin dashboard:

Focus on value: Make sure the message is directly relevant for the intended audience.
Avoid overuse: Notifications are powerful—use them strategically to keep them meaningful.
Combine with links: Let users jump directly to the relevant content or mix with a single tap.
