Your iOS users do have the option to add your latest content to the home screen of their iPhone or iPad. The iOS widget is a mandatory feature so you should provide the information requested below.

What is the iOS home screen widget?

An iOS home screen widget is a feature introduced by Apple in iOS 14 that allows you to place small app interfaces directly on your iPhone's home screen. These widgets give you quick access to app information or functions without having to open the app itself. User can jump right into an article from the widget enabling quick access.

How to set it up

In order to set this up properly we need some default demo content input from you! Let us explain quickly!

There are basically three types of widgets, that user can choose from:

• one small tile (covering space of one app icon)

• one broad widget (covering space of three app icons)

• the big widget (covering space of nine app icons)

This is how the screens look where users can choose these options from.

On these screens you can see one to four (in the big widget up to four) teasers that should represent content within your app. They are static and need to be provided with the app. Note: We only need to show such placeholder content, it user has not used the app recently so that up to date content can be shown here.
