Quiply alternative
Updated June 2026 · by tchop

The Quiply alternative for teams that ship

Quiply is a German employee app with a strong data protection record and a lot of works council material. tchop delivers the same reach as a white-label app under your own name, and carries external audiences on the same platform.

Choose Quiply if

You are buying in German, for a German workforce, and you need the works council convinced early. An owner-led German vendor with a named contact matters more to you than a global brand, and your colours and logo inside the vendor's app are enough.

Choose tchop if

Your own name in the app store is the baseline, not the upgrade tier. Members, alumni or subscribers belong on the same platform as employees. You want a price range you can budget against before the first sales call.

tchop is a white-label, mobile-first internal-communication and community platform, and a Quiply alternative for mid-market teams that need to reach every employee, including the deskless.

Quiply is a German employee app with a strong data protection record and a lot of works council material. tchop delivers the same reach as a white-label app under your own name, on servers in Germany, live in 8 to 12 weeks.

How to choose an employee communication app

Five questions decide whether a communication app ships and gets opened, or stalls in procurement. Answer them before you compare vendors, because they rule most of the market in or out on their own.

01
Does it reach people with no work email?

Eurostat put employees with internet access for business purposes at 64.63 % across the EU in 2025, and at 46.34 % in food and beverage manufacturing. If your workforce is in that gap, the app has to work on a personal phone.

02
Whose name is on the app in the store?

A branded native app gets installed more often than a vendor app with your logo inside it. Check whether white label is the default or belongs to the next package tier.

03
What does the pricing page actually say?

A published price gives you a budget line before the first call. Quote on request costs an extra round. Both are legitimate, but they are different procurement paths.

04
What will the works council ask?

In Germany the works council co-determines the roll-out of systems that can track how staff behave or perform. It is the most common reason an employee app launch slips a quarter.

05
Can two people run it?

Most internal comms teams in the mid-market are two or three people. If the platform needs an administrator or an IT ticket for a normal week, it will not be used.

Feature comparison

The rows compare what decides a branded communications purchase: whose name is on the app, who can be reached, how content is structured, what the AI actually does, where the data sits, what the works council gets, and the commercial floor. Quiply cells describe what its public pages documented on 21 September 2026.

Pricing comparison

The most important number is missing, and that is the finding. On 21 September 2026 quiply.com/preise carried no list prices at all. The page names two packages, Essential and Professional, and says the one-off setup fee and the monthly cost per employee are set by company size, setup and needs. Third-party directories still quote older per-user figures. Those are the directory's claims, not the vendor's.

Where tchop wins

Four differences decide most brand-led deals. Each is built into how tchop works, not negotiated into a contract.

The branded app is the standard deliverable.

Every tchop project ships as a native iOS and Android build published under the customer's own developer account, with their name, icon and store listing. There is no tier below that.

Internal and external on one platform.

The same platform carries employees, members, alumni and subscribers. An organisation running a community alongside a workforce otherwise buys two systems and signs two contracts.

The price ranges are published.

Setup 2,000 to 20,000 EUR, monthly licence 999 to 1,499 EUR, 0.50 to 2 EUR per user. That is not a quote, but it is enough for a budget line before the first call.

AI agents, not an AI editor.

Drafting, summaries, audience segmentation, translation and automated workflows run as agents rather than as a writing aid. Two people can run daily communication for several thousand employees.

What does Quiply do well?

The data protection record is sharper than most.
Quiply's security page says: "Rechenzentrum ISO 27001-zertifiziert, Datenspeicherung in Frankfurt a.M. ... arbeitet ohne Unterverarbeiter außerhalb der EU." In English: an ISO 27001 certified data centre, storage in Frankfurt, Swiss and EU data protection compliance, and no subprocessors outside the EU. That last clause is more precise than most vendors in this market publish, tchop included.
There is finished material for the works council.
German law gives the works council a co-determination right over systems that can monitor behaviour or performance, and that is the most common reason an employee app launch slips a quarter. Quiply publishes a dedicated page, a free e-book and a whitepaper with a legal assessment. tchop has none of this.
Accessibility is described, not asserted.
The product page states that Quiply is keyboard operable, compatible with screen readers and other assistive technologies, and built with clear structures, good contrast and large controls. Most vendors in this category do not mention accessibility on a feature page at all.
Customers say the launch is fast.
Carolin Nüßlein, Online Marketing Team Lead at Fränkische Rohrwerke Gebr. Kirchner GmbH & Co KG, says on Quiply's own pricing page: "Der Einstieg hat in der Tat sehr, sehr gut funktioniert. Wir hatten alles eingerichtet und sind dann sofort live gegangen." She describes setting the product up and going live immediately.

Where does Quiply fall short for brand-led buyers?

Without a price list there is no budget.
On 21 September 2026 the pricing page carried no figure of any kind. For a communications team that needs an order of magnitude before it can open a budget line, that is an extra round with sales before the evaluation even starts.
Your own app in the store belongs to the upgrade tier.
In the Essential package you set your colours and logos inside the Quiply app. Own name, own icon and your own store listing come with Professional, according to the product page. With tchop the branded app is the standard deliverable.
Forty licences is the floor.
The pricing page states a minimum of 40 licences and a usual minimum term of 12 months. For a pilot at one site with 25 people, that is the wrong shape.
External audiences are not a use case.
Quiply positions itself as an employee app throughout, from the industry pages to the customer stories. Employers that want members, alumni, volunteers or subscribers on the same platform will not find an offer for it.

Where these numbers come from

  1. Roughly a third of employees have no work internet access. Eurostat's 2025 figures for enterprises with 10 or more people employed put employees with internet access for business purposes at 64.63 % across the EU and 68.4 % in Germany. In manufacturing the EU figure is 58.06 %.

    Eurostat, Dataset isoc_ci_cm_pn2, 2025 data, 2026

  2. In food production, fewer than half are reachable through work systems. The same dataset puts EU food, beverage and tobacco manufacturing at 46.34 % for 2025, and accommodation and food service at 46.24 %.

    Eurostat, Dataset isoc_ci_cm_pn2, 2025 data, 2026

  3. Gallup's State of the Global Workplace: 2026 Report says that "global employee engagement fell to 20% in 2025, its lowest level since 2020, costing the world economy an estimated $10 trillion in lost productivity", down from a 2022 peak of 23 %. The study covers 263,810 respondents surveyed from January to December 2025.

Gallup, State of the Global Workplace: 2026 Report, 2026

  4. A processor contract is required, in writing. Article 28(3) of the GDPR says that processing by a processor "shall be governed by a contract or other legal act under Union or Member State law". Both vendors offer one.

GDPR, Article 28, General Data Protection Regulation, 2016

  5. The works council right is statutory. German works councils co-determine the "Einführung und Anwendung von technischen Einrichtungen, die dazu bestimmt sind, das Verhalten oder die Leistung der Arbeitnehmer zu überwachen": the roll-out and use of systems that can track how staff behave or perform.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Quiply cost?
On 21 September 2026 the pricing page carried no list prices. Quiply names two packages, Essential and Professional, a one-off setup fee, a monthly per-employee cost calculated by company size, a minimum of 40 licences and a usual minimum term of 12 months. Figures quoted by comparison directories are the directory's claims.
What does tchop cost by comparison?
The published internal communications ranges: setup 2,000 to 20,000 EUR, monthly licence 999 to 1,499 EUR, and 0.50 to 2 EUR per user a month. That is a range, not a quote, and tchop.io/pricing resolves to a contact form today.
Is Quiply only for German companies?
It is sold in German first, with industry pages, customer stories and support in German, and its interface languages are German, English, French, Czech, Italian, Polish, Portuguese and Spanish. Posts and chats translate into more than 100 languages. It is usable outside Germany. It is not marketed there.
Who owns Quiply?
Its imprint names Atoria – the people software GmbH in Reutlingen, described there as a company of the Proalpha Group, with an office in Cologne. The security page still describes the vendor as owner-led. Both statements were on the site on 21 September 2026.
Does tchop replace an intranet?
It replaces the part people actually open. tchop is the mobile and web communication layer, not a document management system. Many customers keep an existing intranet for files and processes and use tchop for reach, push, deskless access and community.
Can we move content out of Quiply?
Documents, user lists and groups can be exported and rebuilt. Chat histories cannot. That is true of any move between messaging systems and it is the reason for the two-week overlap in the migration steps above.
